The Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix kick off the informal beginning to summer in the French Riviera. This week-end Audemars Piguet disclosed another, restricted release, Royal Oak Offshore to commend the 50th commemoration of Le Byblos. Along with its dance club, Les Caves du Roy, the famous Saint-Tropez Hotel has added to the global prestige of the Mediterranean fly set jungle gym since its opening.
The new Royal Oak Offshore models dispatched to mark this event are offered in two forms: a men’s piece in rose gold and a ladies’ precious stone set rendition in hardened steel. The men’s rendition is a pink gold Royal Oak Offshore chronograph wearing white. The brand name dial includes the brand’s tapisserie design, snailed subdials and the AP logo at 3 o’clock. It is outlined by a tachymeter scale. The pink gold hour markers and Royal Oak hands highlight iridescent covering. The white elastic tie is shut by a pin buckle.
The meaningful 44 mm pink gold case with its huge rectangular pushers is worked around the chronograph development 3126 type with programmed winding. As consistently with Audemars Piguet, the completing of the development is first rate and can be appreciated through the display case back. Held by eight screws, the case back highlights the inn’s commemoration dates and its emblem (portraying the kidnapping of the fairy Europa by Zeus).
Overall, this restricted release is thoroughly examined, catching both the brand’s rich energy and the casual Mediterranean soul of the French Riviera. Being a Royal Oak Offshore chronograph, it is an assertion on the wrist yet I appreciate that Audemars Piguet and Le Byblos have not spruced up this organization too much, with just the case-back personalisation.
We will give more insights regarding this Royal Oak Offshore restricted version when we have a live photograph opportunity.
