Previously comprising different models, including a 3-hander , a period and-date , a chronograph, a chronograph-world-time and, obviously, an alert form (the Memovox), today Jaeger-LeCoultre adds a world-time-just edition to the Collection, with the new Polaris Geographic WT – a limited edition, shop exclusive.

The name Geographic at Jaeger-LeCoultre alludes to the mark world-time complication utilized by the brand for certain years now. This complication is basically known in the Master assortment , with a special showcase where the picked city shows up in an angled window at 6 o’clock, combined with a few different signs, like the date, a day-night marker, a subsequent time-region and a force hold measure. All the more as of late, JLC made a more vintage-roused, cleaner variant of the Geographic in the “Sector Dial” Master assortment , a watch that lone highlighted the world-time work and a subsequent time-region sub-dial.

Today, Jaeger-LeCoultre adds this world-time development to the recently presented 2018 Polaris assortment. In the middle territory, we find back the triple sign: power save at 10 o’clock, date at 2 o’clock and second time-region at 6 o’clock. No requirement for a day-and-night marker any longer, as the watch includes a 24h disc.

This world-time work is impelled simply continuously crown – no additional pushers or recessed catches in the caseband. The 24 time regions noticeable on the interior spine are changed by the crown at 10 o’clock. For urban communities exchanging among standard and light saving time as per seasons, a white indicator shows the time with this one-hour contrast. The Polaris Geographic WT is a complex watch, with different signs, yet it stays clear and legible.

This world-time work is controlled by the type 936A/1, a mechanical self-twisting in-house development with 4Hz recurrence, 34 gems and 43h force save. It is obvious through a sapphire caseback and adorned in the standard JLC way, with Geneva stripes, blued screws, sloped points and an advanced anthracite-covered swaying weight.

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Geographic WT is introduced in a 42mm tempered steel case, with similar credits as the remainder of the Polaris assortment: slender bezel, short drags, exquisite/lively plan and an eminent execution with all surfaces being cleaned or brushed by hand. It is here offered with a dark gator lash. The dial, with the common records/numerals of the assortment, has another “gradient” style, going from blue in the middle to practically dark on the fringe of the dial – clearly a lovely tone choice.
