The affiliation between Italian designer Giugiaro and Seiko watches is the same old thing and has already created probably the most challenging watches from the Japanese brand – for example the Seiko Chronograph 7A28-7000, renowned for its appearance in Alien motion pictures. In the last few years, Seiko has once again introduced probably the best watches designed under the pen of Giugiaro, including the  2015 Limited Edition Reissue Seiko Sced035  and as of late an Astron watch . Today, utilizing its iconic asymmetrical case, Seiko reissues a fairly obscure jump watch made during the 1980s with Giugiaro in the structure of the new Seiko Diver Scuba Limited Edition by Giugiaro Design Ref. SBEE001 and 002.

The new Seiko Diver Scuba SBEE001 and 002 are very reliable reevaluations of a vintage model previously designed in affiliation with Giugiaro, the 7C43-7A00. These expert plunge watches were unfathomably intense regarding design and coordinated  several materials for the case. As normal with Giugiaro, the case was awry, with the tie fixed on the correct side of the case and the crown being put at 7 o’clock (making it more of a left-hander watch). Inside the instance of these somewhat obscure 1980s watches was a high-force quartz development, the 7C43 – the more modest rendition of the 7C46, which is as yet utilized today in the Tuna 1000m .

The new, retro-inspired Seiko Diver Scuba SBEE001 and 002 are clear reissues of the past models. Regardless of whether you take a gander at the case, wristband, dial or bezel, everything appears genuine. The case, which estimates 48mm from one haul to another, 43.8mm from 3 to 9 and 11.2mm in tallness, is made from a combination of tempered steel and plastic, for all the dark additions, which are intended to ensure the watch if there should be an occurrence of stuns. The SBEE001 and 002 are gotten to the wrist by silicon ties, with a similar example as the vintage version.

As previously, the development is quartz, with the type 7N36 running inside – showing hours, minutes, seconds and day-date work, and with -/+ 15 seconds of the month exactness. The case is water impervious to 200m. Two variants of the Seiko Diver Scuba Limited Edition by Giugiaro Design will be accessible, the SBEE001 with non-covered hardened steel case and splendid blue dial, and the SBEE002 with gold-covered steel case and brilliant dial – both being much the same as the vintage versions.

The Seiko Diver Scuba Limited Edition by Giugiaro Design will be only accessible for the Japanese market, valued at JPY 40,000 (ex. charges) for the SBEE001 and JPY 45,000 (ex. charges) for the SBEE002 – roughly EUR 335 and EUR 375 at the time we distributed this article. The two variants are limited to 2,000 pieces. More subtleties on www.seiko-watch.co.jp .
